The numbers behind Louis Bielle-Biarrey’s stunning Six Nations as France wing voted Player of the Championship
France wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey is voted Six Nations Player of the Tournament for 2026.
France wing Louis Bielle-Biarrey has been named the Men’s Guinness Six Nations Player of the Championship for 2026 after collecting a staggering 44% of the public vote.
A record 151,525 supporters cast their vote and it was the Les Bleus finisher who deservedly came out on top, with his tournament numbers once again utterly astounding.
Bielle-Biarrey retains the Six Nations award he won last year as he beat Stuart McCloskey (Ireland), Tommaso Menoncello (Italy) and Kyle Steyn (Scotland) to the prize.
Extends his record
The Bordeaux-Begles man ended with nine tries in five games, which is one more than his tally of 2025, and sees him extend the record for crossings in a Championship.
He grabbed four tries in the final clash with England and that meant he became the first player to score in 10 consecutive Six Nations games, a record the wing holds alone.
The feats don’t stop there as Bielle-Biarrey is now the second player of the Six Nations era to score four tries in a single game, equalling Chris Ashton (England v Italy, 2011). During the fixture with Italy, he became the first player to score in eight straight rounds, breaking the record he previously shared with England back Tommy Freeman.
The next Six Nations landmark is also within reach for the France superstar as his 26 scores means he is now just eight tries behind Ireland legend Brian O’Driscoll. What is staggering about that reduced margin is that Bielle-Biarrey has played a whopping 51 fewer matches than O’Driscoll, having turned out in just 15 Six Nations fixtures.
His overall international record is 28 tries in 26 Tests while at club level the flyer has 47 tries in 77 matches across the Top 14 and Investec Champions Cup at this time.
It seems inevitable that Bielle-Biarrey will soon usurp O’Driscoll atop the chart with other records also set to tumble for a 22-year-old who has the rugby world at his feet.
Reward for the team
“I’m just really happy, honestly. It’s yet another reward for the team’s hard work throughout the tournament,” the France maestro said after retaining his Guinness Player of the Tournament crown on Thursday night. “We were able to defend our title. Winning the tournament two years in a row is no small feat. We’re very happy to have done it.”

UBB are battling on two fronts again this term as they sit fourth in the Top 14 level on points with Pau (second) and Stade Francais (third). Toulouse set the pace at the top.
