The WRU launched an official warts 'n' all DVD of their Grand Slam campaign on Monday, with some 135 minutes of footage including match highlights, and also some unique behind-the-scenes moments including a half-time pep talk from the coaches during what star flanker Martyn Williams called “the best weeks of my life in Welsh rugby.”

The most popular scenes are likely to be those in the Welsh dressing room in the immediate aftermath of the win over France, which include a team rendition of the victory song – none other than 'Saturday Night At The Movies' – and coverage of the congratulatory chat between Prince William and Stephen Jones.

In one signature scene, defence coach Shaun Edwards is seen standing inside a circle of players urging them on to a second-half performance which sealed victory and the second Grand Slam title for Wales in three years.

Also captured is the moment inside the victorious changing room when the team burst into their adopted theme song before heading off for a celebration dinner with the French team.

“I've watched the behind the scenes footage three times and it is compelling viewing – the footage gives a unique insight into what the players and management go through during a tournament,” added WRU Chief Executive Roger Lewis.

“I'm particularly delighted that fans will have the opportunity to relive these famous moments in the history of the Welsh game for years to come.”

It remains to be seen whether the RFU will release a similar volume revealing the goings-on in HQ about the appointment of Martin Johnson and the future of Brian Ashton…
