I am a features writer for Planet Rugby, primarily covering the Premiership, URC, and international Test sides.
In this role I research, plan and write on a wide range of subjects to bring attention to lesser-examined subjects in the sport, producing original opinion pieces while also providing content from exclusive interviews. Other times it is designed to present a point of view and provoke debate.
I started my career in 2020 as a freelancer with El Arte del Futbol, writing exclusively about football while working as a primary school teacher in Kuwait.
I left the teaching profession to move into journalism full-time in the spring of 2023.
Since then, I have expanded my coverage, reporting on a wide range of sports for a number of different organisations, including the Manchester Evening News, the Liverpool Echo and the Irish Times.
I joined Planet Rugby in my current role as a features writer in April 2025 after a year with Derry News.
I was born and raised in Derry and graduated from Northumbria University with a degree in history before earning my PGCE from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2020.
I secured my NCTJ in Sports Journalism the summer of 2024 from News Associates.
